Students at several high schools in the UICWMA area participate in the annual noxious weed essay contest. Students must write an essay as per the rules and based upon the appropriate topic given at the beginning of the contest. Winners are chosen from each participating school and they compete for the grand prize out of all essay's submitted.
Hundreds of dollars are awarded to students who show exceptional knowledge and understanding of noxious weed issues presented in well written short essay's.
